Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has said he will ‘be back in no time’ after picking up a hamstring injury in the FA Cup final.
Frank Lampard’s side were beaten by Arsenal at Wembley, after Pulisic’s opener was cancelled out by a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to secure Mikel Arteta’s first trophy in charge of the Gunners.
Early in the second half, Pulisic fell to the ground clutching at his hamstring after a mazy run found him in on goal.
The American international looked in quite some discomfort as he was helped off the pitch by the club physios.
However, he has since sent a message out to his fans over Instagram where he pleads he will be back ‘in no time.’
He wrote: ‘Gave it everything we had. Wasn’t our day. Thank you guys for your support I’ll be back in no time.’
Chelsea found themselves very unfortunate throughout the final, with captain Cesar Azpilicueta and Pedro also picking up injuries as their London rivals reigned victorious.
Now their domestic season is finally over, Lampard will turn the Blues attention to the Champions League as they prepare for their second leg against Bayern Munich in the Round of 16.
It could be a tough match for Chelsea, who trail 3-0 on aggregate as Bayern blitzed them at Stamford Bridge back in March.
