Major ecumenical bodies in Ghana will begin a three-day national fasting and prayers on Friday, April 24 for God’s power to end the coronavirus pandemic.
This is the first time in a while that these bodies are coming together for a national cause.
The Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), the Ghana Pentecostal and Christian Council (GPCC), the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference (GCBC) and the National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches (NACCC) are leading this cause.
It is themed: ‘Oh God, heal Our Land’.
Among the clergymen expected to lead prayer sessions are Most Reverend Dr Paul Boafo of CCG, Rec. Prof. Paul Frimpong Manso of GPCC, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams of NACCC and Most Rev Phillip Naameh of GCBC.
This comes a few weeks after most of these clergymen joined President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in prayers at the Jubilee House.
President Akufo-Addo also declared a national fasting and prayer on Wednesday, March 25 against coronavirus.
