South Africa is full of anger after a rehearsal of fraud committed by the so-called match-fixing and the Senegalese referee Ndiaye Maguette and the ball boy who helped Ghana reach the 2022 World Cup playoffs.
SAFA has filed a complaint with the FIFA, invalidating the outcome of the match and requesting that a second leg be ordered between both sides.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) held a press conference on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, explaining the reasons for the match must be replay and systematic cheating in Ghana last Sunday, recording its 1-0 defeat.
Danny Jordaan hinted that the game is so important to Ghana that losing would pose socio-economic problems to the current President Nana Akuffo addo and must be won.
“This game was a very important game with only one choice other than Ghana winning,” he said.
“If Ghana loses it, it will cause major socio-economic problems for the president of the country.”
FIFA has confirmed receiving official complaints from SAFA on this issue. ..
